The University of Macau (UM) will hold the Congregation 2020 on Saturday 28 November at 4:00pm in the UM Sports Complex. Unlike previous graduation ceremonies, this year’s ceremony will include the presentation of doctoral degrees, master’s degrees, postgraduate certificates/diplomas, and bachelor’s degrees at the same time. The event will also be livestreamed so that graduates and their families and friends from around the world can attend the event online.

This year, a total of 2,256 students from doctoral degree programmes, master’s degree programmes, postgraduate diploma/certificate programmes, and bachelor’s degree programmes will receive graduation certificates. They come from UM’s Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Social Sciences, Institute of Applied Physics and Materials Engineering, and Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences. In addition, 38 outstanding students from different faculties have completed programmes offered by the Honours College.

To comply with the epidemic prevention measures implemented by the Macao SAR government, only graduates will be admitted to the main stadium for the ceremony, and friends and relatives with admission tickets will be arranged to watch live broadcast of the ceremony in three areas (the Training Hall in the UM Sports Complex (N8) , the University Hall (N2), and the Multi-function Room in the UM Guest House (N1). Graduates and their relatives and friends who are unable to attend the ceremony in person can watch the livestreaming of the ceremony on UM’s official website at www.um.edu.mo.

Those attending the ceremony can reach UM’s campus by (A) taxi, bus route No 71 or 73 from Macao, or bus route No 72 from Taipa; or (B) driving (Car Parks P3, P5, and P6 will be open to the public).
