As many Macao students attending college in Taiwan have been unable to resume classes because of the novel coronavirus outbreak, the University of Macau (UM) has established a task force to provide transfer assistance and free online learning resources for the affected students. These options are offered in line with the policy of the Macao SAR government and aim to help the affected students continue with their studies.

Students who are attending college in Taiwan and wish to continue their studies in Macao can apply to UM’s undergraduate programmes, master’s programmes, or PhD programmes on the university’s official website within the designated time frame. The deadline for applications for direction admission to UM’s undergraduate programmes is 17 April 2020; and the deadline for master’s and PhD programmes is 28 February 2020. For enquiries about transferring to UM, please email to UM’s Registry at registry@um.edu.mo.

In addition, UM will provide free online learning resources for the affected students. Those who are interested may email the Registry their detailed academic information, including major, year of study, and courses taken in this semester. UM will arrange appropriate online courses for the students accordingly.
