Luo Yonggang: Liaison Office will continue to support UM

A delegation from the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, led by its deputy director Luo Yonggang, today (5 December) visited the University of Macau (UM) and was warmly received by UM University Council Chair Lam Kam Seng and Rector Yonghua Song. According to Luo, UM has the important responsibility of nurturing professionals in various fields and the Liaison Office will continue to support UM’s development.

During the visit, Song told the guests about UM’s history, academic structure, educational philosophy, and campus facilities. He also said that UM would continue to pursue cutting-edge research in order to contribute to smart city development in Macao and China. Luo praised UM for its campus facilities and academic development and recognised its educational philosophy.

Members of the delegation visited the UM Gallery, the State Key Lab of Internet of Things for Smart City, and Cheng Yu Tung College. Luo also met with members of UM’s student national flag team.
