The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Macau Studies today (4 December) held a seminar to discuss the Macao SAR government’s policies implemented over the past decade and to provide suggestions on the government’s future policies.

During the event, participants discussed the government’s policies in various areas, including public administration reform, finance, housing, economy, tourism and smart hospitality, smart city and transport, Macao residents’ identity as Chinese citizens under the ‘One Country, Two Systems’ policy, and Macao’s social security system.

Established over 30 years ago, the CMS is dedicated to promoting the long-term prosperity of the city by conducting social studies. As a think tank based in Macao, it gathers scholars in different fields to provide suggestions for the city’s policy makers.
