Wen\nBo, assistant dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and associate professor in\nthe Department of Government and Public Administration at the University of\nMacau (UM), has been invited to serve as associate editor of Public\nManagement Review<\/i>, a top international journal in the field of public administration.\nProf Wen is the only scholar from Macao to join the journal\u2019s core editorial\nboard.<\/p>

Public Management Review<\/i>\nis the flagship journal of the International Research Society for Public\nManagement (IRSPM) and is published by Taylor & Francis. It is consistently\nranked among the top tier of SSCI Q1 journals in Public Administration, and the\nresearch it publishes is widely regarded as an authoritative reference in the\nfield. The journal has also repeatedly topped Google Scholar\u2019s rankings in\nPublic Policy & Administration. These distinctions underscore the profound\ninfluence of the journal in advancing global innovation in public administration\ntheory and policy development.<\/p>

Prof\nWen said that, in his new role, he will foster deeper engagement and\ncollaboration between Chinese-speaking scholars and the international academic\ncommunity, thereby enhancing the international voice of Chinese public administration\nresearch. He also noted that the appointment reflects the growing international\nacademic influence of UM\u2019s public administration discipline and supports the\nuniversity\u2019s internationalisation strategy.<\/p>

Prof\nWen holds a PhD in Public Policy and Management from the University of Southern\nCalifornia. He has long been engaged in interdisciplinary research on\ninstitutional design and analysis, organisational theory and behaviour, citizen\nparticipation and grassroots governance, as well as regulatory and compliance\nissues across the financial, environmental, and energy sectors in the Chinese\ncontext. He has published dozens of papers in top-tier journals, including Public Administration Review<\/i> and The China Quarterly<\/i>. In 2023, he was\nawarded the William E. Mosher and Frederick C. Mosher Award by the American\nSociety for Public Administration, becoming the first Asian scholar to receive\nthis honour. He also leads research projects funded by the National Natural\nScience Foundation of China. In addition, Prof Wen has been appointed to serve\nas a member of the Macao SAR Public Administration Reform Consultative Committee\nstarting in 2026.<\/p>
