The two programmes have admitted a total of about 50 outstanding artists from different places this year.<\/p><p>During the ceremony, Yonghua Song, rector of UM, said that art is a vital component of human civilisation, and that art education plays a crucial role in fostering creativity, critical thinking, imagination, independent thinking, and lifelong learning among students. He added that the Department of Arts and Design has an outstanding faculty team and teaching resources, and is committed to cultivating professional artists with a global perspective through the DFA and MFA programmes.<\/p><p>Li Jun, head of the Department of Arts and Design of FAH, gave an overview of the strengths of the department and the unique aspects of the two programmes. He mentioned that the department boasts eminent art historians and accomplished artists who are dedicated to high-level art research and innovative artistic creation. He also expressed hope that the students will draw inspiration from Macao, and integrate the Chinese, Western, ancient, and modern elements to create a new chapter in the world of art.<\/p><p><br style=\"text-align: start\" \/><\/p><div><\/div><div><table style=\"max-width: 100%;border-collapse: collapse;border-spacing: 0px;margin: 0px 0px 40px;font-size: 16px;text-align: justify;line-height:
