During\nthe conference, scholars from renowned universities such as Tsinghua\nUniversity, Peking University, and the University of Hong Kong addressed the\ngovernance challenges in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), transcending\nthe boundaries of traditional disciplines.<\/p>\n\n<p>Hu\nWeixing, dean of FSS, said that the conference served as a platform for scholars\nin the field of governance to exchange ideas, and provided references for\npolicymakers and industry practitioners. Through in-depth discussions and\ncollaborations, attendees could explore topical issues, including the\ngovernance of the GBA, and offer invaluable insights for future research and\npractice.<\/p>\n\n<p>Some attendees\nagreed that the conference would play a significant role in developing the study\nof governance of the GBA and provide substantial support for deepening regional\ncooperation and research.<\/p>\n\n<p>The\nopening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Hu. Yu Keping, chair professor\nat Peking University (PKU), director of the PKU Research Center for Chinese\nPolitics, and dean of the School of Government at Shenzhen University, and Carlos\nLo, head of the Department of Government and Public Administration at the\nChinese University of Hong Kong, delivered a keynote speech on technology\ngovernance and environmental governance respectively.<\/p>\n\n<p>The\nconference featured six sub-forums covering a wide range of topics, including\ncollaborative governance, environmental governance, digital governance,\nnon-profit and corporate governance, legal governance, and global governance. Moderators\nand guest speakers at the sub-forums included scholars from higher education institutions\nin Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, and other parts of mainland China, including\nTsinghua University, Peking University, Renmin University of China,\nCommunication University of China, the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese\nUniversity of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong University\nof Science and Technology, University of Macau, and Macau University of Science\nand Technology. They held in-depth discussions and exchanged ideas on the\nlatest research findings in their respective fields, with a view to\nfacilitating interdisciplinary collaboration and exploring innovative
