{"id":323445,"date":"2023-12-01T17:34:00","date_gmt":"2023-12-01T09:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.um.edu.mo\/news-and-press-releases\/press-release\/detail\/57273-2\/"},"modified":"2023-12-01T17:34:00","modified_gmt":"2023-12-01T09:34:00","slug":"57273","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.um.edu.mo\/pt-pt\/news-and-press-releases\/press-release\/detail\/57273\/","title":{"rendered":"UM and other universities in GBA receive national and Guangdong education achievement awards for their MOOC-based collective development model"},"content":{"rendered":"\n                        \n                        <p>The University of Macau (UM) and the participating universities of the Guangdong-Hong\nKong-Macao Greater Bay Area Universities Online Open Course Alliance received a\nsecond prize of the National Education Achievement Award by the Ministry of\nEducation, and a first prize of the 10th Guangdong Education Achievement Award (Higher\nEducation) by the Department of Education of Guangdong Province for their implementation\nof the massive online open course (MOOC) based collective development model.<\/p><p>The\nparticipating universities, which include UM, the Chinese University of Hong\nKong, Sun Yat-Sen University, South China University of Technology, South China\nNormal University, and Southern Medical University, offer various types of\nonline open courses through the MOOC-based\ncollective development model. The model aims to promote the recognition of credits for\nonline open courses within and between universities, facilitate the integration\nof online and offline teaching, and enable the sharing of quality teaching and\nlearning resources. Katrine Wong, director of the Centre for Teaching and Learning Enhancement, received\nthe award on behalf of UM.<\/p><p>Established\nin 2018, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Universities Online\nOpen Course Alliance focuses on developing quality online open courses,\nestablishing an interconnected online open course platform, and providing free\nonline open courses to
