During the visit,\nthe two parties signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement, with the aim\nof promoting talent cultivation and technological innovation in both places and\ncontributing to the development of higher education in China.<\/p><p>According to Song,\nPeking University has been an important partner of UM since 1995. Recent\ncooperation between the two universities includes the establishment of the\nCentre for Constitutional Law and Basic Law Studies of UM, and the exchange\nactivities between Peking University\u2019s Yuanpei College and UM\u2019s Cheng Yu Tung\nCollege. He added that the signing of the cooperation agreement signifies that\nthe relationship between the two universities has elevated to a strategic\npartnership. The two sides will continue to make full use of their respective\nstrengths to deepen cooperation and exchange, and to jointly promote talent\ncultivation and innovative research in Beijing and Macao. Gong hopes that the\ntwo universities will leverage their strategic partnership to foster academic\nand research cooperation and exchanges in various disciplines, as well as the cultivation\nof outstanding talent. He also looks forward to joining hands with other higher\neducation institutions around the world to promote the integration of emerging\ntechnologies into higher education through the Digital Intelligence\nInternational Development Education Alliance.<\/p><p>In\naddition, Gong gave a talk titled \u2018Invigorating China through Science and\nEducation, and Accelerating the Building of World Hubs for Talent and\nInnovation\u2019 as part of UM\u2019s University Lecture Series. During the talk, he\nshared Peking University\u2019s practices and objectives on talent cultivation from\ntwo aspects, namely student education and faculty development.
