Mo Jihong, director of the Institute of Law, Chinese\nAcademy of Social Sciences, and dean of the School of Law, University of\nChinese Academy of Social Sciences, will be the keynote speaker. During the\ntalk, he will explore the characteristics of contemporary Chinese legal\ntheories.<\/p><p>The talk\nwill be conducted in Mandarin and will be live broadcast at 3:30pm in the\nUniversity Hall (N2), where the speaker will interact with the audience. For\nenquiries, please call 8822 4504.<\/p><p>In line\nwith the goal of UM to foster talent training\nand research development in the discipline of law, the Faculty of law will\nlaunch the Bachelor of Law in Chinese Law and Global Legal Studies in 2023. The\nnew programme is designed to provide students with a unique opportunity to\nmaster the key legal topics in legal education in the People&#8217;s Republic of\nChina and to study key elements of the globalised international legal system. The\ncourse covers all the subjects required for the national judicial examination,\nas well as the core subjects needed to understand the dynamics of global\ngovernance. Taught in English, the programme aims not only to meet the current\npressing needs of the legal practice community in the Greater Bay Area, but\nalso to lead the way in the future development of
