The\nconference provided a platform for scholars, researchers, business\npractitioners, and postgraduate students to share their latest research\nfindings and business insights related to sustainable development and human\nresource management.<\/p><p>As part of the\nactivities in celebration of UM\u2019s 40<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary, the conference\nfocused on the contribution of human resource management to sustainable development\nand attracted scholars and experts from Macao, Hong Kong, mainland China, and\nPortugal. FBA Dean Jean Chen delivered a welcome speech, which was followed by keynote\nspeeches by Prof Wang Jie of the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China, and\nProf Liang Jian of Tongji University. Prof Wang and Prof Jiang discussed sustainable\npractices in human resource management and the challenges in conducting\nemployee voice research, respectively.<\/p><p>In addition, two\nprominent local executives, Keith Lei at MGM Cotai and Jacinta Ho at JC Human\nResource Consulting, shared MGM\u2019s sustainable HR practices and a case study in\nenvironmental stewardship strategy conducted by a
