Scholars of\nUM, Sun Yat-sen University, Peking University, Fudan University, Nanjing\nUniversity, and Zhejiang University attended the meeting<\/p><p>Prof Billy So,\nvice rector (student affairs) of UM, delivered a welcome speech. Prof Zhang\nWei, head of the Department of Philosophy at Sun Yat-Sen University (Guangzhou\nCampus), Prof Chen Jianhong, head of the Department of Philosophy at Sun\nYat-Sen University (Zhuhai Campus), and UM professor Wang Qingjie all delivered\nspeeches. They expressed the\nhope to strengthen exchange and cooperation among major universities in the\nGreater Bay Area in the study of philosophy and religion.<\/p><p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/p><p>The forum began\nwith a discussion of the concept of \u2018transcendental\u2019 from the perspective of phenomenological\nphilosophy. On the basis of the theories of Kant, Husserl, and phenomenology,\nparticipants analysed the concepts of \u2018transcendent\u2019 and \u2018transcendental\u2019, as\nwell as other related key terms. They also discussed the different Chinese\ntranslations of these concepts, how these translations have been adopted in\nChina, and issues related to the\nconcept of \u2018transcendence as immanence\u2019 in Chinese philosophy, such as the Chinese\nunderstanding of the concepts: \u2018classics\u2019, \u2018family\u2019, and \u2018self-cultivation\u2019 as\na \u2018moral kung fu\u2019, as well as eternal meaningful life, and post-comparative\nphilosophy.&nbsp;<\/p><p><\/p><table style=\"width: 441px;height: 201px\"><tbody><tr style=\"height: 21px\"><td colspan=\"2\" style=\"height:
