The\nBoard of Administrators of the Association of Universities of Portuguese\nLanguage (AULP) recently held a meeting in the AULP\u2019s headquarters in Lisbon,\nPortugal. The meeting was attended by representatives from 12 higher education\ninstitutions in Portuguese-speaking countries, who hold various positions at\nthe AULP. Prof Rui Martins, vice rector (research) of the University of Macau\n(UM), who is a long-time key liaison person between UM and the association,\nchaired the meeting on behalf of UM. It is the first time that UM, president of\nthe AULP, has chaired a meeting of the AULP\u2019s Board of Administrators. <\/p>\n\n
Participants\ndiscussed the activities of the AULP\u2019s headquarters in the past year as well as\nnew projects to be carried out in the field of higher education, including the\nFern\u00e3o Mendes Pinto 2015 award, the release of the minute of the 24th annual\nmeeting of the ALUP held in Macao, and the publication of the RILP<\/i> magazine (2014 issue 27, volume 3).\nParticipants also discussed the preparation for the 25th annual meeting, which\nis due to be held in Cabo Verde from 15 July to 17 July.<\/p>
