This will be UM\u2019s\nfirst Open Day held on the new campus. The various faculties and laboratories\nwill open to the public. There will also be student performances, international\nfood festival, booth games, and lucky draw. The opening ceremony will be held\nin the plaza in front of the library at 11:00am. <\/p><p>&nbsp;<\/p><p>UM faculty\nand students are busy preparing for the various activities on the Open Day,\nincluding mooting on civil and criminal cases, the creative English writing\nworkshop, and the talk on whether cancer can be cured, to name but a few. The various faculties and residential colleges, some of which normally do\nnot open to the public, will open on the Open Day to help the\npublic know more about UM\u2019s facilities, academic programmes, students\u2019 lives,\nand academic and research achievements in recent years. The Department of\nCommunication will hold an opening ceremony for the Creative Media Lab, which\nis not to be missed by those interested in advanced video production equipment.\n<\/p><p>&nbsp;<\/p><p>More fun\nfilled activities are waiting for you on the Open Day. All are welcome, whether\nyou are a high school student about to graduate, or an alumnus of UM, or a\nmember of the public interested to visit the new campus.<\/p><p>&nbsp;<\/p><p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/p><p>Those who\nare interested to attend the Open Day can take buses 71, MT3U or 37U to the new\ncampus (71 and MT3U both stop at Pra\u00e7a de Ferreira do Amaral). UM will provide\nmore than 1,000 free parking spaces for those who drive to the campus.
