{"id":194301,"date":"2017-02-02T14:25:01","date_gmt":"2017-02-02T06:25:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.um.edu.mo\/sem-categoria\/2017\/02\/40754-pt_pt\/"},"modified":"2017-02-02T14:25:01","modified_gmt":"2017-02-02T06:25:01","slug":"40754","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.um.edu.mo\/pt-pt\/news-and-press-releases\/press-release\/detail\/40754\/","title":{"rendered":"FBA Dean Jacky So appointed BNU Chair Professor of Finance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Banco\nNacional Ultramarino (BNU) has committed a\ndonation of MOP 10.65 million to\nestablish an endowment fund in the University of Macau Development Foundation\n(UMDF), with the aim of supporting both teaching and academic research of a chair\nprofessor in the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) at the University of\nMacau (UM).<\/p><p>In\nappreciation of this generous contribution, the FBA has created a chair professorship\nin honour of BNU. It is the first named chair professorship at the university.<\/p><p>Prof Jacky So, dean of the FBA and director\nof UM\u2019s Asia-Pacific Academy of Economics and Management (APAEM) has been appointed\nthe BNU Chair Professor of Finance. Prof So has more than thirty years of\nproven record of distinction in teaching and accomplishments in academic\nresearch. He has served in various academic positions in Macao, Hong Kong, and\nthe United States. In the future, Prof So will carry this designated title on\nall official occasions related to the university as well as in academic\npublications.<\/p><p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/p><p>For more than a century, BNU has been\npromoting the harmonious development of the Macao society through significant\ncontributions to local schools and universities in the form of student\nscholarships.
