The International Conference on the History of the New Chinese Literature will be held at Ho Yin Convention Centre of the University of Macau (UM) from 18 April to 20 April. The conference was initiated by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Macao SAR and the Tertiary Education Services Office and is organized by the Department of Chinese of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of UM with the assistance from Macau Documentation and Information Society and Guangdong People’s Press. More than 60 renowned scholars from America, Germany, Slovak Republic, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macao and the Chinese Mainland will attend the conference to discuss the spatial-temporal framework of the development of the new Chinese literature over the past century as well as the compilation of General History of Chinese New Literature and its academic significance.
