The University of Macau’s (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) and the Labour Affairs Bureau have jointly launched a subsidised skill-oriented training programme to support the Macao SAR government’s economic relief measures and help Macao residents to improve their employability during the pandemic. The programme is designed for working Macao residents to encourage them to participate in courses during normal working hours or during unpaid leave period, so as to improve their employability or, in the case of self-employed entrepreneurs, the bottom line of their businesses. In September, the centre will offer three certificate courses, on retail marketing, project management and quality control, as well as accounting management, respectively. The centre is dedicated to fulfilling its social responsibility and plans to launch more quality courses at the end of this year.
