Two UM PhD students Wang Jingguo and Tam Hou Kuan from the Department of Electromechanical Engineering of FST won best paper award at ADIF 2009. The two students say that winning this award proves that small universities such as UM can also excel at research as long as they identify a unique and in-depth angle.
