The University of Macau (UM) Student Affairs Office recently organised a trip to Guangzhou for faculty members and students. During the trip, UM members visited tech companies to learn from their success stories in the Greater Bay Area. Led by Samson Cheong, head of the Student Resources Section and special assistant to vice rector (academic affairs), the UM delegation visited the headquarters of WeChat in Tencent, TIT Creative Industry Zone, iFlytek, China Southern Power Grid’s exhibition and demonstration centre for battery electric vehicles, and Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Company Limited.
