The University of Macau (UM) today (19 September) held a talk titled ‘Data vs Law: The Future of Legal Education in Macao’. Prof Shui Bing from the Faculty of Law, who is the recipient of the Teaching Excellence Award for the 2017/2018 academic year, was the keynote speaker. During the talk, Prof Shui shared his insights on how legal education in Macao keeps pace with social changes amid the challenges and opportunities brought about by regional integration and the big data era. The talk attracted many UM faculty members and students, high school teachers, as well as members of the general public. The UM Teaching Excellence Award each year recognises one distinguished faculty member who has demonstrated excellence as an educator. It signifies the university’s commitment to pursuing teaching excellence and enhancing student learning experience.
