A delegation from the University of Macau (UM) Honours College, led by its dean Mok Kai Meng, recently visited the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR. The delegation was warmly received by Pu Hailong, deputy director-general of the Department of Education and Youth Affairs; and Cen Jiayi, deputy head of the section. Mok thanked the liaison office for its support and encouragement, adding that the HC is dedicated to nurturing professionals with leadership skills for Macao and has devoted a lot of resources to patriotic teachings. Pu praised the HC for its diligent work and expressed hope that the college will continue to enrich students’ life on campus. He also encouraged young adults from Macao to contribute to the development of China and grasp the opportunities created by the development of the Greater Bay Area. A student representative told members of the liaison office about his experience in exchange trips to three free-trade zones in Guangdoug province, in Nansha, Qianhai, and Hengqin.
