The Financial Crimes Summit (Macau), co-organised by the Department of Accounting and Information Management under the University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Business Administration, Certified Practising Accountant Australia, and Ernst & Yong, was recently held at MGM Macau. The event attracted over 100 experts and scholars. During the event, participants discussed the issue of Macao being blacklisted by the European Union as a tax haven and how to apply big data in the prevention of money laundering and other financial crimes.
