Prof Amitav Acharya, a renowned scholar in the field of international relations from the United States, recently gave two lectures, titled ‘Can Asia Challenge Chinese Dominance and Avoid Europe’s Past?’, and ‘The End of American World Order and the Birth a Multiplex World’, respectively, at the University of Macau (UM), at the invitation of the Faculty of Social Sciences Institute of Global and Public Affairs.

Prof Acharya is a professor of international relations at American University. He is the first non-Western scholar to be elected as the president of the International Studies Association, which is the largest and the most authoritative professional association in the field of international studies.
