The University of Macau (UM) recently held the International Workshop on Emerging Technologies towards Heterogeneous Wireless Networks and 5G Communications 2014 at UM Wu Yee Sun Library. The event attracted many industry practitioners, scholars, faculty members, and students. 14 scholars from mainland China, Singapore, Australia, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan presented their findings and discussed the future of 5G communications and the emerging technologies towards heterogeneous wireless networks. The event was sponsored by the Science and Technology Development Fund of Macao SAR and was co-organised by UM’s Faculty of Science and Technology and IEEE Communications Society Singapore Chapter.
