UM postgraduate students visit Greater Bay Area to learn its latest developments

The University of Macau (UM) Student Affairs Office recently organised the ‘UM Students National Education, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Tour – Zhongshan and Jiangmen’ for postgraduate students. Before this trip, the SAO had arranged similar trips for nearly 300 students to other Greater Bay Area (GBA) cities such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Dongguan, and Huizhou. 

Led by Samson Cheong, head of Student Resources Section, the students attended the opening ceremony for a conference on internet applications and innovations as well as a forum on 5G technology.

The students also visited various places and companies, including an international youth technology and innovation valley, Zhongzhi Pharmaceutical Holdings Ltd, Tongyu Communication, Jiangmen Idear-Hanyu Electrical Joint-Stock Co Ltd, CSR Guangdong Rolling Stock Co Ltd, and an innovation demonstration centre for post-doctoral fellows. The trip was supported by Zhongshan Youth Federation and Jiangmen Youth Federation.
