The University of Macau (UM) suspends classes and closes offices when Typhoon Signal No 8 is in effect. The Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) hoist Typhoon Signal No 8 at 2 pm (Jul 31). When Signal No 8 is hoisted, UM will be closed and all classes will be suspended.
Students and staff should remain indoors during the time the signal is in effect. To request assistance with issues related to doors and windows, or to report any damage caused by the typhoon, please contact campus management personnel at 8822 8700 or the security centre at 8822 4126, or make an online request through the Computerised Maintenance Management System at https://cmms.um.edu.mo/helpdesk/login.aspx, during non-office hours.
