A group of students from the University of Macau (UM) recently visited Huizhou and Dongguan, two cities in the east of the Greater Bay Area (GBA), to learn more about the current development of innovation and entrepreneurship in the GBA. Earlier, the students visited three other cities in the area, namely Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Zhuhai.

With the support of the Huizhou Youth Federation and Dongguan Youth Federation, the delegation visited the China Spallation Neutron Source, Guanxianghua Youth Service Centre, Huizhou University Student Entrepreneurship Base, Guangda WE Valley, as well as four high-tech companies, namely Truly (Huizhou) Smart Display, Guang Dong OPPO Mobile Telecommunications, TCL LCD Industrial Park, and Dongyangguang Pharmaceutical. The trip gave the students a better understanding of the hardware and software facilities and industrial development of the cities in the GBA.

The delegation also visited the Ge Hong Museum, as well as the Dongjiang Column Memorial Hall, and Yuan Chonghuan Memorial Park.
