UM holds George Chinnery painting exhibition

The Story of Macao: Exhibition of Sketches by George Chinnery, organised by the University of Macau (UM) library, has opened. The exhibition showcases the British painter’s sketches of the daily lives of people in Macao in the early 19^th century.

UM Librarian Wu Jianzhong said at the opening ceremony that the exhibits are provided by UM University Council Chair Lam Kam Seng, adding that the vivid representation of the old appearance of Macao with the help of multimedia allows faculty members, students, and the public to learn more about Macao’s history and culture.

The exhibition will last until 5 October. It is open to visitors from 8:00am to 0:00am. All are welcome.
