(21 August 2008, Macao) A cooperation agreement among the University of Macau, J Con Technology (Macau) Limited and Bentley Systems Hong Kong Limited was signed yesterday (21st) at the University of Macau (UM) for promoting further cooperation among the three parties, improving research standards of UM students and in turn fostering more outstanding research experts.
J Con is a leading IT Solutions Integrator in different spectrums in Macao and Bentley Systems is the world’s leading company dedicated to providing comprehensive software solutions for infrastructure lifecycle. Besides, J Con is the Technology Partner and Training Partner of Bentley Systems in Hong Kong and Macao, and is well versed in IT consultation, project management, networking infrastructure design and application system deployment in Accounting, DMS, Geographic and Spatial Engineering.
Under this cooperation agreement, Bentley Systems will offer the Faculty of Science and Technology of UM free use of more than 50 commercial engineering software solutions for academic purposes and provide training and technical support. Besides, they will provide a global occupational platform for UM students so as to expand their overseas job opportunities.
This Signing Ceremony was hosted by Professor Iu Vai Pan, Rector of the University of Macau, Mr. Jimmy Chiang, Managing Director of J Con Technology (Macau) Limited, and Mr. Sam Ho, General Manager of Bentley Systems Hong Kong Limited. The ceremony was also witnessed by Professor Mok Kai Meng and Professor Wu Enhua, Dean and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology from the University of Macau respectively, and Dr. Kou Kun Pang, Head of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
