Prof. Tang Chon Chit from the University of Macau (UM) Department of Chinese has been appointed by the National Library of China as a chief expert for a national rare ancient books project for the Macao region. Part of the Chinese government’s 12th Five-Year Plan, the project is expected to publish 5,000 different kinds of rare ancient books housed in over 70 libraries and museums at home and abroad.
