Five postgraduate students from the University of Macau (UM) were ranked among the top 20 in a national-level social research activity, which was co-organised by the China Young Leaders Foundation and the China Weekly magazine. 1,481 teams from 98 higher education institutions in China participated in this activity, and UM’s team was the only one from Macao and Hong Kong to make it to the top 20.

This activity aims to encourage the nation’s youth to take a fresh look at society through field trips and to identify, analyse and propose solutions to the problems.

The research conducted by UM’s team concerns vocational education with the Pearl River Delta region as an example. It was supervised by Department of Government and Public Administration Head Prof. Wang Jianwei.
