To increase students’ interest and skills in writing, the Pearl Jubilee College (PJC) launched a Writer-in-Residence Programme, which will offer a range of activities including talks, outings in Macao, consultation sessions and experience sharing sessions. The first writer-in-residence under this programme is Mr. A. J. Mackinnon, a well-known Australian writer. Mr. Mackinnon is the author of two best-selling books, The Unlikely Voyage of Jack de Crow and The Well at the World’s End. He arrived at UM yesterday (21 March) and will stay in Macao for seven days for a series of activities. During his first talk at PJC last night, which attracted many students, Mr. Mackinnon shared his adventurous journey from the United Kingdom to the Black Sea as well as his writing experience.
