Over 50 participants of the Peer Support Programme of the University of Macau (UM) recently spread smiles and gave free hugs to passers-by at Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro and the Ruins of St. Paul to convey the message that love and happiness shared multiply many times over. The Peer Support Programme, or PSP, aims to foster mutual help and mutual caring on the campus to help new students adjust to the new environment. “Smile Forward” and “Free Hugs” are part of the activities in celebration of the tenth anniversary of the programme. Earlier activities included a visit to an elderly’s home and beach cleaning.
