The third International Conference on Macaology, co-organised by Beijing Foreign Studies University, Social Sciences Academic Press, Macao Foundation and the University of Macau (UM), will be held at Beijing Foreign Studies University from 15 November to 16 November. The theme of this year’s conference is “knowledge construction and academic growth from a global perspective with Macaology as an example”. Over fifty experts and scholars from around the world, including Portugal, Germany, Italy, Russia, mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao will attend the conference. They will have in-depth discussions on a range of issues, including Macaology, development of new disciplines from a global perspective, and the status and function of Macao in the cultural exchange between China and the West. A series of books on the studies of Macaology will also be launched at the conference.
