The opening ceremony for the Writers-and-Artists-in-Residence Programme and Wang Meng’s lecture on Mo Yan’s winning the Nobel Prize, co-organized by the Macao Foundation and the University of Macau (UM), took place today (7 November). The event attracted a full-house audience of UM staff, students and guests. UM Rector Wei Zhao, President of the Administrative Committee of Macao Foundation Wu Zhiliang, and honorary doctorate recipient Wang Meng presided over the ceremony.
