After winning the bronze medal at UCI Indoor Cycling World Championships held in Japan in November 2011, Wong Hang Cheong, a PhD student of the Department of Electromechanical Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), University of Macau (UM), and technician of the Automotive Engineering Laboratory affiliated with FST, won yet another bronze medal at the Hallenrad Champions Trophy held in Stuttgart, Germany. Wong competed against strong contestants from around the world, and finally won a bronze medal with an Asian-record-breaking score of 165.96.
