Mr. Yan Zushu (a PhD student), Prof. Elvis Mak Pui In, Dr. Matthew Law Man Kay and Prof. Rui Martins from the State-Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI at the University of Macau (UM), have co-developed the highest-performance-ever three-stage CMOS amplifier for high-color-depth LCD displays. The paper will be presented on the 59th anniversary of the IEEE (The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) International solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC), to be held in San Francisco, U.S., in February 2012. ISSCC is internationally recognized as the Chip Olympic. Expected participants of the ISSCC will be more than three thousand from academia and industry, whereas the number of accepted papers is approximately two hundred (of which approximately 50% is from industry). The work is entitled “A 0.016mm2 144µW Three-Stage Amplifier Capable of Driving 1-to-15nF Capacitive Load with >0.95MHz GBW”, which will be UM’s fourth technical paper at ISSCC.
