The Department of Portuguese, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Macau (UM), and the Research Centre for Luso-Asian Studies will co-organize a talk next Wednesday. Prof. Carmen Mendes, from the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra, will be the speaker and she will analyze the negotiation process before the handover of the sovereignty over Macao as well as Macao’s role as a bridge between China and Portuguese-speaking countries after its return to China.

The talk will take place at 18:30 on 12 October (Wednesday) in Room L105 in the Luso-Chinese Building, UM. It will be conducted in Portuguese. All are welcome.
