The Tertiary Education Services Office has entrusted the University of Macau (UM) with the construction of Macao Tertiary Education Database. Macao Tertiary Education Database Task Force (MOTERDS) of UM will carry out the “Bachelor Degree Graduates (One Year after Graduation) Online Survey 2009/2010” in early May. This survey is a follow-up to the longitudinal “Online Graduating Students Survey 2009/2010”, and it targets participating students who have voluntarily provided their contact information. MOTERDS will email or send text messages to the students concerned to ask them to fill in the online questionnaire from 9 May to 9 June (closing time: 11:59 p.m., 9 June).

According to the organizer, the objective of the survey is to look into the prospects and living conditions of graduates of higher education institutions in Macao one year after their graduation and to carry out related study, so as to promote the development of higher education and provide a basis for the Macao SAR government’s policymaking. The organizer has urged participants to fill in the questionnaire truthfully because all data collected will be treated as strictly confidential and used solely for statistical analysis. School administrators and other system users will not be able to identify participants.

The organizer will keep on carrying out other student surveys, and relevant details will be announced in due course. In order to encourage participation, there will be a lucky draw with abundant prizes. Those who have completed the survey in time will be automatically eligible for the lucky draw.
