Macao Radio Frequency Identification Forum 2011 (Macao RFID Forum 2011), jointly organized by the Wireless Communication Laboratory of the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Macau (UM) and IEEE Macao AP/MTT Joint Chapter, supported by the Bureau of Telecommunications Regulation, Rohde & Schwarz , a renowned company in the field of communications, and Jesic Technology Ltd, successfully took place on 18 March 2011 in the auditorium of Science and Technology Development Fund. It aims to provide a platform for the related enterprises, academic institutions and government departments to exchange opinions on radio frequency identification (RFID) technology and promote the application of RFID technology in Macao. RFID technology, is an advanced automatic identification technology, which is gaining popularity in Macao in recent years. The government and the sectors also want to improve their working efficiency by applying this technology.
