The third World Business Ethics Forum, organized by the Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Macau (UM), will be held from 26 October to 28 October 2010. ‘Accountability, Credibility, & Ethicality’ is the theme of this year. Prof. Hans van Ginkel, Chairman of the Kofi Annan Business School Foundation, and Prof. Alex Michalos, Chief Editor at the Journal of Business Ethics, will be the keynote speakers of the forum.

World Business Ethics Forum has been an excellent platform for academics and industry practitioners to enhance discussion and to resolve real business problems in the knowledge-driven global economy. Papers selected from this year’s conference will be published in a special issue of the Journal of Business Ethics, which is a globally recognized business journal. Apart from the keynote speeches, group discussion panel on ‘Ethics, Credit Crunch, Macao: How are these related ?’ will also be held.

The forum is expected to attract approximately100 experts and academics in the industry from all over the world. Among them, two distinguished scholars will be invited to be the guest speakers: Prof. Hans van Ginkel, Chairman of the Kofi Annan Business School Foundation, Rector Emeritus of the University of Utrecht, former Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, former Rector of the United Nations University, and former President of the International Association of Universities; and Prof. Alex Michalos, Chief Editor at the Journal of Business Ethics and Director of the Institute for Social Research and Evaluation, University of Northern British Columbia.

The forum will take place at 9:00 on 27 & 28 October in Peony and Jasmine Ballroom, Four Season Hotel Macao. A pre-conference symposium will be held at 15:00 on 26 October in Adelson Advanced Education Center, The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel.
