The Shanghai World Expo Music Festival, which was co-organized by the Shanghai World Expo Coordination Bureau and Fudan University, ended on 17 July. Students of over 30 renowned universities around the world took part in this largest cross-cultural youth exchange activity in the history of the World Expo and gave over 40 concerts inside the Shanghai World Expo Garden as well as more than 20 performances in various other venues outside the garden such as the community centre, commercial zones, and the Shanghai Concert Hall. The University of Macau (UM) Choir and Symphonic Band were the only music groups from Macao to have been invited to the event.
