ContentIn a digital era, students can find all sorts of information from the Internet with ease. They come to school not only for the quest of knowledge, rather, they desire to be inspired and eventually be transformed through higher education. Although the information age has made teachers somewhat less authoritative in the classrooms, it has opened up a plethora of possibilities for teachers to demonstrate the fun and value of a subject in a wider context by connecting knowledge to real world experiences, and in the process making students active learners.
Prof. Ruibing WANG, Associate Professor of ICMS and winner of the 2018/2019 UM Teaching Excellence Award, will share with us his insight on connecting knowledge to the real world scenario, as well as his experience in striving for teaching excellence.
