ContentGalapagos Islands (巨龜群島), a groups of islands located near the equator about 600 miles on the west side of Ecuador (愛龜多爾) in Central America, were well known as the land of inspiration for Charles Darwin through his “Voyage of the HMS Beagle” during his short visit of Galapagos in 1835, which ultimately led to the publication in 1859 the “Origin of Species” on his theory of evolution. This presentation will cover many of the unusual animals and the nature beauty of the habitat on the islands that are still mostly free from the human invasion.
