A delegation led by Zhang Bo, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, who is also the founding and honorary dean of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence at Tsinghua University, recently visited the University of Macau (UM) and was warmly received by UM Rector Yonghua Song. During their visit to the UM Gallery, Song told the guests about UM’s development history, research layout, campus facilities, and development direction. Members of the delegation also visited UM’s State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City, State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI, and Centre for Cognitive and Brain Sciences. They spoke highly of the research achievements attained by UM in recent years, especially those in the areas of artificial intelligence and robotics, and expressed hope that the university would continue to contribute to technological development in China.
