The University of Macau (UM) was recently invited to participate in the Science and Technology Week 2022 cum Exhibition of Achievements in Science and Technology Innovation. The event was organised by the Science and Technology Development Fund of Macao and supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology. A number of UM research projects and results were showcased at the exhibition and were recognised by guests and participants in the event. Some of the research results were also effectively matched with enterprises. Ge Wei, vice rector (research) of UM; and Wang Chunming, interim director of the Research Services and Knowledge Transfer Office of UM, were invited to attend the event.
68 research projects from UM were exhibited at the exhibition of scientific research results and academic report in the year of 2021. Mak Pui In, interim director of the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI (University of Macau), delivered a keynote speech at the event, while Xu Qingsong, professor in the Faculty of Science and Technology; Zhao Jing, associate professor in the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine (University of Macau); and Sun Guoxing, associate professor in the Institute of Applied Physics and Materials Engineering, gave presentations as representatives of outstanding research projects. In addition, 22 research projects from UM were exhibited at the mainland-Macao industry-academia collaboration roadshow and matchmaking session. Among them, 20 were presented in roadshow presentations and were effectively matched with science and technology enterprises.
