Trip to new UM campus and Hengqin for senior management, staff and students of UM

The new UM campus project and other construction projects on Hengqin Island are already in full swing. To update UM members on the progress of the construction as well as the future prospect of Hengqin Island, IPR, AHR and SAS lately organized several site visits to Hengqin Island for the top management, the staff and students.

The new campus site, which was still a green banana farm last year, is now enclosed with white fences. So far more than 80% of the phase-1 land reclamation works have been completed. Some large construction machinery has also entered the construction site. |

According to the development plan, Hengqin Island will be divided into three sub-sections and ten zones with different functions. The multi-media digital model was like a mesmerizing crystal ball foretelling the promising future of this island. The vivid, powerful presentation left an indelible impression on everyone present. |

Still some 900 days to go before completion of the new campus on 19 December 2012! This countdown timer attracted everyone's attention and they excitedly snapped away in front of it. |
