SSRC occasionally holds roundtable discussions on issues of academic interests. Typical of these are the annual seminars hosted by SSRC with Fulbright scholars and students from 2003-2011.

The group members of this project is to study through the academic point of view the best possible scenarios for Macau economy and what role Macau Government should play in helping its economy when Macau is destined to develop multiple economy.

Macao Youth Indicator Research Project [photos {1}{2}{3}

Commissioned by the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau, this project aimed to create a set of indicators tailor-made for the Macao society to gauge the satisfaction and needs of its younger generations. This set of indicators would provide the data and information needed by the government for policy-making.

Social Surveys

SSRC has gained a reputation in carrying out independent and scientific surveys on public opinions in the Macao society. Between October and December 2002, the Civic & Municipal Affairs Bureau of the Macao government has commissioned the centre to survey public opinions on the following issues:

- Customer Satisfaction on the Services of the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau
- The Conditions of Environmental Hygiene
- The Social Impact of Internet Cafes
- The Management Quality of Government-run Markets

The Cultural Institute of the Macao government has asked SSRC to evaluate client satisfaction on the Macao International Music Festival in both 2002 and 2003. SSRC has also been asked to do the following telephone surveys:
