The Ph.D. in Political Science is designed to train students to conduct advanced scholarly research in international relations, comparative politics, or political theory and to prepare them for academic and research-oriented careers.

Before applying, prospective students should first identify a professor in the Department whose research interests coincide with their own and who is also seeking to recruit a Ph.D. student.
