Alex H. Choi is Assistant Professor in the Department of Government and Public Administration at the University of Macau. His research interests include migrant workers, the regulation of work, the relationship between casinos and development, and democratization. He has written extensively on the economy and politics of Macau in both English and Chinese publications. His papers have appeared in Studies in Political Economy, Critical Asian Studies, the Journal of Comparative Asian Development and edited book volumes. Dr. Choi holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. from Queen's University (Ontario, Canada) and a B.A. (Hon.) from the University of Hong Kong.
